Self-care is a popular topic these days, but it is often poorly explained. It is not synonymous with self-indulgence or being selfish. Self care at the simplest level is making sure that you are doing the things that you need to do in order to stay healthy physically and mentally. Caring for yourself is an active choice that you need to make everyday that prioritizes your own health and happiness.

Most people struggle to incorporate self care into their daily routines. With self-care being such a prevalent and subjective topic, my goal was to better understand how people approach self care and what challenges they face down the road of self improvement.

I defined a series of questions and began researching the problem. I conducted the survey with 71 people of different age groups, and had a 1 : 1 conversation with one of the people. The questions I asked went like-

This is the "mood check" feature, designed to appear each time the user opens the app, allowing them to log their mood effortlessly without taking extra time.
This page is designed to create a warm, friendly connection with the user. The theme and content adapt automatically based on the time of day.
Accountability - Users are required to take photos as proof of task completion, preventing the use of gallery images to ensure authenticity. The pet’s meals are directly linked to the user’s success in completing their routine.

Using data from user entries in the "Mood Check", mood analyzer tracks and monitors your moods. It also displays your most recent activity, helping you understand how your actions influence your emotional state.

The explore page offers challenges that users can participate in to earn coins, which can be redeemed for premium features like accessing a professional therapist. It also includes self-care exercises and quizzes to enhance the user experience.
The app includes a feature that connects users to licensed therapists for professional support, offering secure and convenient communication. Users can schedule sessions or engage in real-time chats to address their mental health needs.

All routines will be displayed here, along with AI-suggested tasks tailored to your habits, making it easier to create practical and achievable routines.

All the photos users take to complete their routine tasks are stored on the Journals page. Users can also reflect on their day or utilize pre-made templates for writing journal entries.

Users were given the task of completing routines, editing routines, going to journal page and talking with their therapy pet.
As result, participants were able to complete all given tasks with 80% accuracy, citing ease of use and instant familiarity of user interface elements.
